Artist Statement

As adhocc, I weave a practice that excavates digital found objects and artifacts from the boundless ether of our networked existence, transforming them into audiovisual works and immersive installations.

My journey began as D/P/I, a sound artist dissecting and reassembling the fragments of modern culture, inspired by the playful irreverence of Fluxus and the intricate textures of IDM. Now, as adhocc, I have expanded into a multimedia realm, crafting experiences that resonate with the chaotic beauty of our hyper-connected world.

My philosophy insists that for every mass-produced artifact—a Coke bottle, prefab house, or plastic dustpan—a unique, purposeless work of art must counterbalance it. I unearth and reassemble digital relics, layering sound, light, and texture to create experiences that defy utility and invite contemplation. Quantity drives my practice: I aim to flood the world with singular creations, each a vital act of resistance against the homogeneity of mass production, restoring balance through an abundance of the unrepeatable.
